Privacy Policy
Last updated May 29, 2026
This policy is a working draft pending legal review. It describes our current website data practices in good faith.
FreeThree is a faith-based non-profit serving trafficked, exploited, and at-risk individuals in the Mahoning Valley. We take the privacy of everyone who visits this site seriously, and we recognize that some visitors may be in vulnerable situations. This policy explains what information we collect through freethreeyo.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form or sign up for our newsletter, we collect the information you provide, typically your name, email address, and any message you write.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may collect basic, non-identifying technical data (such as pages visited and general device/browser type) to understand site usage and improve the experience.
We do not knowingly collect more than we need, and we do not sell personal information to anyone, ever.
How we use information
To respond to your messages and requests.
To send you updates you have asked for, such as our newsletter.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We use information only for the purposes for which it was provided.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of trusted service providers to operate this site. Each only receives the information needed for its function:
Donations are handled by BetterWorld, a third-party giving platform. When you donate, your payment information is processed by BetterWorld under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
Email delivery for form submissions is handled by Resend.
Hosting and basic, privacy-respecting analytics are provided by Vercel.
Web fonts are self-hosted on our own domain, so viewing this site sends no font requests to third parties such as Google Fonts.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
[TBD: if a cookie-based analytics or consent banner is added later, this section will be updated and a consent mechanism provided.]
Data retention
We keep form submissions only as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable records of our communications and supporters. [TBD: confirm specific retention windows with staff.]
Your safety and your choices
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For confidential help, contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us. To unsubscribe from our newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us.
Please note: this website cannot erase your own browser history. If your safety depends on others not seeing your activity, use the Quick Exit button on our Resources page and clear your browsing history afterward.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or services change. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
